First we stopped at Tropical Islands. Few years back they’ve made a massive blimp hangar into an indoor tropical island with rain forrest and beaches, you can actually stay over night in one of the huts on the beach :-) The whole super structure is located in the middle of old Soviet army airport so we had a little walk around.

Then we drove to Potsdam just to figure out that there’s nothing much interesting except the Landestag and St.Nicholas church. An hour later we arrived to Berlin only to experience rush hour traffic jam. Thanks god we had GPS because otherwise we’d have never found the place where the concert was. Old technological park in the middle of forrest on outskirts of Berlin would be really really hard to find with a map :-).

The concert was AMAZING, I must admit that I’m not a big fan of G-Love’s blues, but I must say that he’s excelent guitar player. Hour later Jack went on stage and the actual thing started :-). He played old hits and things from his new album. This was my musical highpoint of this year :-) It was just sooo great. At half ten Jack added encore where he played solo (or with G-Love’s guitar), but we were already headed for the car since 400km trip was still ahead of us ;-)

At 2:45 I’ve crashed into my bed and woke up today noon :-)

And here are few recordings from the concert:

Never Know (Close up)
Hope
Good People
Breakdown

UPDATE:

More videos :-)

Sitting, waiting, wishing
Zach’s Bubbly Toes Jamming
Another Mix

Million Dolar Photo

I must say i was totally blown by Tomas’ new photo. I picked up a buddy of mine, went to my flat to bring in some more tile glue and then headed off to my friend’s. ‘twas her b-day, but i kinda miscalculated and we arrived at the place with flower and wine few hours after she went to her uncle’s :D Nevermind that, we drove across the Prague to the military aircraft muzeum and spent few hours just going into planes and watching a take off of grippens and lets. My personal finding is that me being 6’3” I’d never qualify as a pilot, the cabin was very crammed and if i’d ever need to eject, the instrument panel would most likely cut off my feet :-)

Then we headed to the technical museum, where we talked with one of their conservators, who gave us a pretty cool tour around (thanks!).

This year I didn’t really took pics, and just enjoyed the night. Now this post will be about guy called Barry. See Barry is kind of person that likes to drink a beer or two (or three :-) AND he makes his own music (together with Owen Harrison). It's sort of electronic music I really like, not some crazy techno or jungle stuff, it's a stuff I enjoy listening to while working or just chilling in the evening. Anyway check out the webpage where you can download mp3s. Checkout #3 on his 2007 album "Gotta Go Round" called "Well We Wonder" or maybe a bit darker #6 "Caprabo" (whatever that means ;-). Honestly drupal+gallery2 are also a huge overkill for me, drupal is professional CMS and gallery2 is more suited for heavily-multiuser environment. I restored just bunch of the photo galleries (as in the newest galleries) as the rest wasn't looked on anyway :-).
